The Ho-Chunk Transportation Authority provides safe, well maintained roadways for the Ho-Chunk Nation membership as well as the general public. We plan, construct and maintain the roads of the Nation. We are a Non-Profit organization which also works in partnership with local government and townships to help with planning & funding road projects. Transportation Planning
HTA shall perform the survey, design, right-of-way, archeological and environmental services, road improvement or road construction for the Bureau of Indian Affairs Roads Construction Projects as identified in the TTIP. The HTA is currently responsible for over 33 miles of roads located in Black River Falls, Nekoosa, Tomah, Baraboo, Wittenberg, and the Wisconsin Dells areas. The HTA Maintenance program receives funding annually to maintain BIA and Tribal owned Roadways.
